I'm home!

I'm back from the Migori medical mission trip with Kenya Relief. http://www.kenyarelief.org/   I had a great time and done some things I've never done before. For one, I helped in the recovery room after a patient had surgery. It was a little uncomfortable as I didn't know what to do, but when the nurse told me, I just done it. It was fun taking vital signs and doing the normal nursing stuff after being out of the field for such a long time. I used to work on the med/surg floor many years ago in the hospital. The team I worked with was great and I got to see some people I met the last time I was in Migori. I got invited to speak at a pastors meeting on Wed. where there were about 20 local pastors attending. I was honored to speak and teach. I just got home around noon today. I think we left Migori before 7AM. It's a long ride. The team dropped me off at my house and went on safari and will be going back to the US Sat. night. I didn't go on safari with them. Steve James has a big project for me. To give just the short story, I have to go to Pokot and get some very rural tribesmen and set them up with a cataract screening. There is someone coming in May who is going to be on the Eye Team with Kenya Relief and only wants to operate on Pokot. So after they are screened and determined to need catearact surgery, I have to arrange to get them to Migori. Sounds simple? These people have never left their homes before, only know their own language, and I have to get them from one side of Kenya to the other. I need prayer! Ha! But, I'm up for the challange. With God, anything is possible.
I'm actually glad to be back home in my own bed tonight with my girls Bambi and Sipsey. Oh yeah, update on Sipsey. She is doing much better. She got a shot and medication. She is back to her playful self but still watching the situation and she is not 100% yet. Still has little problem with she urinates but it's much better. She has to take another week of medication.  OK, enough for tonight. Love you all!
Forever His servant & yours,
Teresa June
